Passion

Irresistible objects; evocative forms; compelling spaces; versatile environments; new discoveries; meaningful experiences—these are the passions that inspire me to design and research and make and teach. 

Hands-on Approach

I am hands-on. My design process is rooted in human factors, steeped in materials research and structural testing. When I make things, I understand them; I learn their strengths and weaknesses. And I learn how to make them better.

Digital Fabrication

I am digital. AutoCAD, Rhino, Revit, Catia, Grasshopper, and Mastercam; robots, CNC routers, laser cutters, and 3D printers—these tools have empowered me to push the boundaries of what and how I design, and they have transformed how I make. Parametric tools and digital fabrication are the new frontier of architecture and design.

The Hybrid Future

The future of design will be shaped by those who can combine traditional methods with the power of digital fabrication into a hybrid approach that redefines what is possible.
